Recommendation for Research on Sustainable Coffee Production and Consumption to Promote Sustainable Business
Abstract
The advancement of sustainable consumption and production (SCP) to foster a circular economy is essential for long-term sustainable development. Nevertheless, successfully implementing SCP necessitates robust backing from the relevant literature. There is a growing interest among scholars and practitioners in sustainable consumption and production behaviors. This article adds to the existing SCP literature through a bibliometric analysis, a widely used research method that enables researchers to analyze the historical and prospective growth of scientific works. This study reviewed 586 publications from the Scopus database, covering the period from 1994 to 2022. Several bibliometric indicators, such as the number of publications, h-index, and citation metrics, were utilized as evaluation methods. Moreover, a relational technique was implemented using graphical maps and VOSviewer. The results indicate an upward trajectory in the quantity of publications and citations pertaining to sustainable consumption and production. To enhance future study, it is recommended to investigate many contexts of agricultural land research, encompassing coffee farming communities.
