Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of delays in goods delivery by vendors on distribution effectiveness and procurement strategy formulation at PT Ivo Mas Tunggal. The background of this study is based on the company’s high demand for the timely availability of goods and services to support operational activities. Internal and external constraints in the procurement process have caused delivery delays, which affect distribution activities and disrupt the company’s overall operational performance. The results of this study indicate that delays in goods delivery by vendors are caused by several factors, including limited stock availability (indent), shipping delays by logistics providers, imported goods procurement processes, regulations on certain restricted goods, and specification mismatches resulting in return processes. These conditions impact delays in fulfilling operational needs and reduce the effectiveness of goods distribution within the company. Therefore, effective communication and coordination with vendors are essential to minimize delivery delays and improve procurement performance.
