Abstract

The dynamic changes in the global business environment, characterized by technological advancements, market globalization, regulatory changes, and increasing business competition, require companies to possess strong adaptive capabilities. Each company has different characteristics and strategic approaches in responding to these changes according to its organizational typology. This study aims to analyze company typologies' adaptation to changes in the global business environment, identify the characteristics of each typology, and examine the factors influencing successful adaptation. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method through the review of relevant scientific journals, books, and academic publications. The findings indicate that companies with a prospector typology demonstrate higher adaptability due to their focus on innovation and the exploration of new opportunities, while defender companies emphasize stability and operational efficiency. Analyzer companies seek to balance innovation and stability, whereas reactor companies tend to exhibit lower adaptive capabilities due to the absence of a consistent strategy. The success of organizational adaptation is influenced by leadership, innovation and technology, human resource quality, organizational culture, market opportunity recognition, strategic flexibility, and external environmental factors. Therefore, companies need to implement appropriate adaptation strategies to enhance competitiveness and ensure business sustainability in the global era.
