Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, lifestyle, and self-control on the consumer behavior of students at Semarang State University. The research is motivated by the increasing consumer behavior of students due to the development of digital technology, ease of transactions, and the influence of trends and social environment. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quantitative descriptive design. The research sample consisted of 172 students selected through proportionate random sampling technique. Data were obtained by questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of IBM SPSS 27. The results show that financial literacy, lifestyle, and self-control each have a significant influence on student consumer behavior. Financial literacy and self-control help students make wiser consumption decisions, while lifestyle increases the tendency for consumer behavior. Simultaneously, these three variables have a significant influence on consumer behavior with a contribution of 70.6%. These findings indicate that student consumer behavior is influenced by the level of financial understanding, lifestyle patterns, and the ability to control oneself. Therefore, improving financial literacy, wise lifestyle management, and strengthening self-control are important to encourage more rational and responsible consumption behavior
