Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing competition among batik MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in Danau Teluk and Pelayangan Districts, Jambi City, which requires entrepreneurs to possess adequate entrepreneurial capabilities in order to sustain and improve business success. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial knowledge, entrepreneurial characteristics, and entrepreneurial skills on the success of batik MSMEs in the study area, both partially and simultaneously. This research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 35 batik MSME owners as respondents and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that entrepreneurial knowledge, entrepreneurial characteristics, and entrepreneurial skills have a positive and significant effect on business success, both partially and simultaneously. These findings indicate that improving these three aspects can enhance the success of batik MSMEs more effectively. In conclusion, the success of batik MSMEs is strongly determined by the quality of entrepreneurial knowledge, characteristics, and skills possessed by business actors.
