Abstract

Technological developments in the workplace today focus not only on computer speed, but also on how the technology can make the workspace tidier and more efficient. This paper discusses the implementation of PC replacement with VCloudPoint products to support the effectiveness and efficiency of space at PT Lima Benua Koneksindo. As a company that provides VCloudPoint solutions, PT Lima Benua Koneksindo applies this technology comprehensively to all operational computers in its office. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data were collected through direct observation during the internship and interviews with staff in the office administration department. The results of this study indicate that the use of VCloudPoint (zero client) on all office computers is very successful in saving work desk space because it no longer requires a large conventional CPU. In addition to making work desks in all divisions more spacious, the removal of this CPU also reduces the problem of messy cables, and eliminates heat and fan noise in the office space. This tidier, quieter, and more comfortable room condition has been proven to help office operational activities become more focused and effective, including in completing the daily tasks of the student intern administration department. In conclusion, the comprehensive implementation of VCloudPoint in the internal environment has been proven to have a very positive impact on space efficiency and work comfort.
