Analysis Of The Effect Of Capital Structure And Profitability On Company Value In Pharmaceutical Companies Listed On The Idx

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of capital structure and profitability on firm value in pharmaceutical subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. The independent variables used in this study are Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Net Profit Margin (NPM), while firm value is measured using Price to Book Value (PBV). This research applies an associative quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from company financial statements. The population consisted of 15 pharmaceutical subsector companies, and the sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in three companies with a total of 15 observations. Data analysis techniques included classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of correlation and determination, t-tests, and F-tests using SPSS version 22. The results show that DER has no significant effect on firm value with a significance value of 0.319 > 0.05. NPM also has no significant effect on firm value with a significance value of 0.087 > 0.05. Simultaneously, DER and NPM do not significantly affect firm value, with a significance value of 0.199 > 0.05.
