Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of the removal of the Program Sekolah Penggerak (PSP) on curriculum management and the quality of the learning process at the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) level, specifically in kindergartens (TK). The study was conducted at TK Islam Az-Zahrah and TK Negeri Pembina 2 Palembang as case studies. The discontinuation of PSP forced PAUD institutions to independently design and manage the curriculum without direct government support. Despite challenges such as reduced facilities and guidance, principals and teachers continued to collaborate closely in planning, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum dynamically. Adjustments in teaching methods were made to suit the specific needs of young children. The initial removal of the program resulted in decreased teacher motivation, but with internal support and creative approaches, teachers’ competencies and professionalism were still improved. This study emphasizes the important roles of principals, teachers, and parents in maintaining the quality of PAUD education following the termination of PSP. Recommendations include ongoing training, increased collaboration, and resource optimization to support an effective and meaningful learning process.
