Abstract

The transformation of digital education encourages teachers to have adequate digital skills to support the implementation of in-depth learning (mindful, meaningful, joyful learningHowever, teachers' digital skills in learning practices in secondary schools have not been fully accompanied by in-depth and contextual learning creativity. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of teachers' digital skills on in-depth learning creativity and to explore teachers' experiences in developing in-depth learning practices.deep learningThe study used an exploratory mixed methods approach with an integrated quantitative and qualitative design. The quantitative phase involved 14 high school teachers at a public high school in Surakarta who were selected purposively. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression. The qualitative phase involved 8 teachers who were interviewed in depth to explore their experiences, strategies, and challenges in implementing immersive learning. Qualitative analysis was conducted through a thematic approach using the interactive model of Saldaña, Miles, and Huberman. The results of the study indicate that teachers' digital skills have a positive and significant influence on immersive learning creativity with an R² value of 0.838 and a significance of p < 0.001. Qualitative findings indicate that digital skills encourage teachers to produce more reflective, contextual, and enjoyable learning strategies through digital media such as LMS, learning videos, interactive quiz platforms, and material visualization applications. However, teachers still face obstacles such as limited infrastructure, student readiness, and limited time in designing creative learning. This study confirms that teachers' digital skills play a significant role in strengthening immersive learning creativity at the high school level.
