Abstract

The structural inefficiencies and high costs inherent to supply chains in emerging economies necessitate a departure from isolated operational strategies. This study investigates the synergistic impact of a novel tripartite framework—comprising relationship marketing, digital engagement, and human resource (HR) synergy—on logistics operational efficiency within the archipelagic context of Indonesia. Employing a quantitative survey design, data were collected from 83 logistics professionals at a leading integrated multimodal transport enterprise and rigorously analyzed utilizing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The empirical results reveal that the integrated tripartite model successfully accounts for 63% of the variance in operational efficiency. Notably, relationship marketing emerges as the most dominant direct predictor (β = 0.41), highlighting the critical role of customer trust and personalized communication in stabilizing operational workflows. Furthermore, digital engagement yields a robust direct effect (β = 0.35) while simultaneously serving as a significant partial mediator, accelerating relational marketing outcomes through integrated technological infrastructure. HR synergy (β = 0.31) acts as the essential organizational bedrock, providing the technological adaptability and cross-functional collaboration required for effective execution. By dismantling traditional organizational silos, this research contributes to contemporary supply chain literature and provides actionable managerial blueprints for logistics enterprises striving to achieve sustainable competitive advantage in high-cost, volatile markets.
